agility club

Agility Club workouts are 1 hour group workouts that are geared toward making players quicker and more explosive in their basketball-specific movements. Players will work through foot balance, quickness, and jumping drills to improve their movement on the court. While we often incorporate basketballs into these workouts, Agility Club workouts take place in ABIDE’s newly renovated workout space. We focus on developing player agility that translates to the court.

Balance

Players without balance struggle to score and defend consistently. Our coaches have been trained by D1 programs and have a wealth of knowledge and experience that they bring to the gym. Agility Club works to develop athlete balance through a variety of basketball-infused drills and exercises that are fun, difficult, and productive.

quickness

Quickness wins in basketball. Exploding by your defender, beating the ball handler to the spot, getting up for a rebound before your opponent. It all matters. Our coaches put our athletes through drills that improve reaction time, first-step speed, and much more. In Agility Club, athletes work to develop their quickness.

Verticality

The women’s game is being player further and further off the ground. The ability to elevate to get a shot off or power through the defense to finish above contest is increasingly important. In Agility Club, athletes develop their verticality through leg strengthening and jumping that help athletes play off the ground.
